Situated on a 4,512sqm parcel overlooking Wilson Inlet and Mount Hallowell, the Ocean Beach project merges restrained, rectilinear garden design with the site’s rugged character. The landscape response maintains a seamless dialogue with the surrounding bushland, purposefully blurring the line between interior and exterior spaces via welcoming entrance and ‘rain’ courtyards.
       Reflecting the architecture, the material palette features granite, rammed earth blade walls, and weathered timber. Endicott cobbles extend this geometry, with grass seed sown between un-grouted stones to meet strict APZ/BAL requirements while adding texture. Functional zones include a chiselled granite birdbath, a casual firepit, a sunny kitchen garden, and a spacious turf area. With a strong ecological focus, existing vegetation is largely retained and enhanced by native planting and habitat creation.
